| Micro-credit sustainability and Poverty-reduction Project PURPOSE OF PROJECT : The Federal Government of Nigeria has taken a bold step in licensing hundreds of micro finance institutions in her efforts to arrest Absolute Poverty in the country. This Program was designed to complement the efforts of the Federal Government in utilizing the instrument of micro-credit delivery to the grassroots to combat Extreme Poverty, promote economic development and enhance the financial powers of the Nigerian women and the low income groups. It was also developed to generate employment, increase the value of life of the Nigerian populace, control the spread of HIV/AIDS, reduce child delinquencies and promote the sustainability of the Industrial Sector and Micro finance Institutions in Nigeria.
