HEALTH ENHANCEMENT PROJECT (HELP)
WODIA has commenced a long-term Health Enhancement and Longevity
Program (HELP) with seminars on Health Information to Prolong Life
holding in various Local Government Secretariats in Lagos State from
February 2009 to December 2012 and also in other states of Nigeria.
Objectives of HELP are :
1.Help reduce the incidence of Morbidity and premature Mortality arising
from Preventable Diseases
2. Help enlighten the Public of Health Habits that will promote Sound
Health and Longevity
3. Help encourage Regular Medical Check –Ups among Nigerians
4. Help enhance the Life Span of the Nigerian Populace which is less than
50 years according to medical statistics
5. Help curb Teenage Pregnancies, HIV/AIDS and Maternal Mortality
6. Help advise on best products and Services to patronize for improved
health and longevity.
Each seminar will be attended by representatives made up of
men and women from all sectors of the economy including
Trade unions, Civil Societies Organization, Faith-based
Organizations, Top Government Functionaries, Associations
of market Men and Women, Retirees, People in gainful
Employment, corporate entities, Youths, Unemployed persons, Non-
Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Professionals,

For The Seminar, WODIA will :
1. Provide The Venue
2. Mobilize the participants to the Venue
3. Arrange For Publicity for the seminar
4. Print the Program, Invitation Cards and Letters
5. Provide Public Address Systems

8. Conduct Impact Evaluation after project and send the

2. Manufacturing, Financial or Merchandising Companies that need
distributors, customers, franchisees or marketers for their products
3. Public and Private Organizations that have beneficial
services to offer women and the masses.
To come and introduce their goods and services to a large audience of
participants at the above seminars to be held in the Local Government
Areas.The program will be given wide publicity on both the electronic
and the print media .
Your organization is hereby invited as a Participating Organization at the
above seminars. As a Participating Organization, your company will be
requested to(1) mount a small exhibition on a 4ft x 6ft table, (2) distribute
your company's handouts or promotional materials to the audience for
reference purposes and (3) produce a Speaker that would be given 15

Health Enhancement and Longevity Program (HELP) is an initiative of
Women Development International Association (WODIA) to reduce the
incidence of preventable diseases and premature deaths in Nigeria.
The project was borne out of empirical results and research findings
which confirm that a lot of chronic illnesses, disabilities and deaths occur
as a result of ignorance or lack of health education. This information
prompted WODIA to come up with HELP with the objective of providing
the populace with health facts to make them live a healthy and long life.
Projects are held with high profile Health Institutions for professional and
qualitative resource material delivery.

B. Microcredit and Poverty-Reduction Project
Women Development International Association (WODIA) has concluded
two phases of Micro-credit sustainability and poverty reduction project
that took place between December 2007 and March 2008. Theme of the
seminar was Delivering the Grassroots from Financial Powerlessness and
Topic of Seminars was "How and Where To Obtain Small Loans and
Medium Scale Loans For Personal and Business Development". Five
seminars were held on same Theme and Topic in different locations in
Lagos State which were : LTV 8 premises on December 11, 2007;
Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Secretariat on
January 29, 2008; Sandgrouse Market, Lagos Island on March 8, 2008 to
commemorate the International Women's Day; Alade Market, Ikeja on
March 13, 2008 and Suenu Palace, Adeniji Adele, Lagos Island on
March 18, 2008.
